AN EXHIBITION OF 104 visually stunning and captivating photographs of Nelson Mandela by world renowned South African photojournalist Dr. peter Magubane; Mandela’s official photographer, 1990-1994.
Magubane embarked on his long and distinguished career in 1954. His work took him and his camera to the heart of the anti-apartheid struggle where he was shot, banned, and held in solitary confinement. His photographs became “our eyes” as they were featured in TIME, The New York Times, Life, National Geographic, Paris Match and more. He will be receiving an honorary Doctorate of the Arts, his first in the United States, from Columbia College Chicago.
