The South African Consulate General in Chicago represents the Government of the Republic of South Africa in the Great Lakes Region of the United States of America. The Mission is responsible for consolidating the relationship between the fourteen (14) States in the Midwest and the South African Government. We endeavor to promote South Africa as an Investment and Tourism destination. We highlight some of the outstanding characteristics of the Country across all sectors, namely, Trade and Investment, Education, Arts and Culture, Tourism and People to People co-operation. South Africa has successfully hosted the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Soccer World Cup spectacle in our country which took place from 11 June to 11 July 2010.
